Brian Esselaar is a partner at Boer & Croon Corporate Strategy. After obtaining his degree in law at the University of Amsterdam, he followed an MBA degree programme at Rotterdam School of Management. Brian joined Boer & Croon after working at a small regional consultancy for four years. He worked at Boer & Croon as advisor, project manager and interim manager, and finally as director of operations and member of the Boer & Croon board. After this, he set up his own business and worked as an independent interim manager for several years. His clients include two major heath insurance companies: Agis Zorgverzekeringen and Achmea Zorg. He was self-employed for six years, and has now been back at Boer & Croon as a partner since 2009.

According to Brian, the purchase of health care is his professional hobby and passion. His inspiration is rooted in his conviction that financiers and directors in the health care sector are responsible for continually working towards ensuring better health care in the Netherlands, in cooperation with one another and with clients. Although he is familiar with numerous aspects in the health care sector, his specialities are mental health care, forensic care and addiction care.

He is the kind of advisor who wants to help his clients resolve the problems they face, and he combines creativity, common sense, a practical approach and an attractive personality when assisting clients.
